Athens dinner that led to political indigestion ( Financial Times )

On January 28, a cloudy, drizzly day in Athens, Goldman Sachs played host to a hotchpotch group of 10 clients at the Grande Bretagne, a palatial belle epoque hotel overlooking Syntagma square and the old royal palace, now the home of the Vouli, the Greek parliament.
At dinner on the rooftop – with an unimpeded panorama of the Acropolis as the backdrop – the clients; 10 bankers, asset managers and hedge fund analysts, ruminated on the future of the Greek economy – and of course, how to make money from it. Events since – a vicious collapse of confidence in the Greek debt market – have made some of those present, millions. But there has been a price. The dinner and the two-day schedule of meetings it bisected, is now one of a handful of events at the centre of a growing political backlash against some of the biggest and most powerful traders in the debt markets.  

 Στις 28 Ιαν.10, η Golman Sachs, παρέθεσε δείπνο στο roof top του ξενοδοχείου Μ. Βρετάνια σε 10 πελάτες..
Οι "πελάτες" ήταν τραπεζίτες και άλλα "φρούτα"..
Σκοπός και στόχος της συνάντησης ήταν μεταξύ άλλων, η ελληνική οικονομία και το πώς θα βγάλουν λεφτά από την κρίση.
 Μεταξύ των συμμετεχόντων ήταν και η Paulson & Co.

Το λόγο που έγινε η συνάντηση τον περιγράψαμε πιο πάνω.

Το γιατί έγινε στην Αθήνα, είναι ένα σοβαρό ζήτημα.
Γιατί δεν μαζευόντουσαν, στην Ν.Υόρκη, το Λονδίνο ή και αλλού όπου έχουν γραφεία οι εν λόγω εταιρείες.

Δεν έγινε απλά στην Αθήνα η συνάντηση, έγινε απέναντι από τη Βουλή των Ελλήνων.
Μήπως για να είναι εύκολη η πρόσβαση σε κάποιους "ντόπιους";;;
Ποιοι Έλληνες,  (αν τους είχαν καλέσει) συμμετείχαν στο "μυστικό και άκρως επαγγελματικό δείπνο" ;;;
Εμείς θέλουμε να ελπίζουμε ότι κανείς 'Ελληνας δεν θα συμμετείχε σε μια "συνωμοσία" κατά της χώρας.
